This season is one of my favorites because the weather starts to change into that crisp cooler feel that quickly takes the edge off of summer. It has been a hot summer, but lots of exciting things have happened!

It is a very current and timely story of a family that seems to have everything going for them until crisis hits. It takes it's toll on their finances, and ultimately their daily lives. As we know, this is the case for many right now, but the story goes on to show that together and with the help of our amazing God, they pick up the pieces and they learn the greatest of life's lessons, as only our Father in Heaven can teach.

(Click HERE or on the video link below to see the movie trailer!)

Two of the songs selected for the "Stand Strong" movie were from each of the first two T Culler records; "Dreamer," from Maybe Next Sunday, and "Nothing to Hide," from the End of the Day Ep. Both appear during the movie. And then a third song from a record that I had recorded quite some time ago, was chosen to run during the credits. It is quite the honor to have been selected, and I am grateful to God for His direction in making it happen. Needless to say, I am excited to see how God uses this project in the future.

Secondly, and I am very excited to say, there is going to be a new full length record coming this next spring. I have been writing new songs that have been inspired by so many events that have happened lately, and from some of the stories you all have sent me. I cannot tell you how much those letters have touched my heart, and I hope to convey some of those feelings back to those that will hear it. I am anticipating going in the studio in late December or January, so please keep this project in your prayers as I want God to use it however He sees fit.

So for now, I pray blessings on you all, and thank you for all your support and love through the last three years. See you soon.

Tim

Click Here for the Stand Strong Movie Offical Website

He Will Never Leave You

It is amazing how things can change so fast in our lives. One moment everything is just going along in a normal status quo type fashion, and the next moment you are living in a whirlwind, wondering when the new season of confusion and life disruption, will end. Such is life, and such is life as even the Christian believer.

God never promised us that things would be perfect in our lives. I think if we take the time to look at history, we see that everyone has ups, and everyone has downs that they have to live through. Even as we look into the Bible, we see periods of peace and then periods of turmoil. The great thing is, however, that when we look at the whole picture, we see that those periods of turmoil or difficulty, are followed by seasons of joy and better days. Why is that?

Because our greatest lessons learned are during those times when life just isn't going so well. If you have been around for even a few years on this spinning ball we call Earth, you have seen it in your life. You grew the most when you came through life's trial, and He was able to bring you to a closer walk with Him. That is where He wants you to be. It's all about the relationship, and those times of difficulty that you are faced with, if you will be patient, let go and let God, He will see you through it all. It is then that you will find your greatest victory!

Ask yourself today. Do I feel God being close to me right now, or do I feel like He couldn't be farther away. If you are feeling the latter, then step back and examine your relationship and your walk with Him. Take the time to talk with your Savior, be patient and pray, and He will show you how much He loves you. Remember, the sun rises everyday without you having to do anything. You can count on Jesus Christ to be there in the exact same way.

Blessings to all of you. Thank you all for listening to the music. I pray the words reach into your lives and help you see that we are all the same. No matter where you have been, or how much you feel like you may have drifted from His side, He WILL NEVER leave you!

"I will never leave you nor forsake you."
-- Hebrews 13:5

T Culler

A Christmas Message From T Culler:

What a great time this past year has been. We as a band have had incredible experiences, due only to God’s favor. Most of all, we have met so many of you, who have been amazingly supportive of what we are doing, and so kind in your expressions of gratitude for the music. The fact that the songs reach deep into the hearts and lives of those that hear it, makes all the difference. If these songs are able to take someone to a place of healing, or to a closer walk with our Lord, then they have served its purpose. For that, I am eternally thankful to God for allowing them to be written. I am also eternally grateful to the band, sound and stage technicians for their sacrifices and humble spirits as they do what they do. Everyone involved is so amazing, and for those of you who don’t know them as closely as I do, they are all just phenomenal people. In musicianship and with ministry, they are both equal in their excellence. Jonathan, Boo, Tyler, Rinthy, David, CL, Andrew, Greg, Chuck and Frances are all gifts from God into the life of this band, and I pray God’s continued blessings on each one of them.

Just last month we had the pleasure of opening for Barlow Girl on their Christmas tour. We were able to show a little different side to what we can do, as we did an all acoustic Christmas set. Everybody, including us, seemed to love it, so be on the lookout for more of the same. Thanks to David, Jonathan and Andrew for being so incredible that night. You guys are awesome!

Throughout this year, we have had so many great places to go and play, and have enjoyed every moment of it. Thanks to all of you for having us, and we can’t wait to see you again one day.

We look forward to 2011, and we wish all of you a wonderful and Merry CHRISTmas season. To God be the glory for the great things He has done.

T Culler Opens For BarlowGirl

Continuing in the excellence of professionalism and musicianship that you have come to expect from the T Culler band, the boys opened for BarlowGirl last month at NorthWood Baptist Church. Jonathan, David, T Culler, and our new bass player, Andrew Cantrell, opened with “Please Come Home for Christmas” amidst screams from the audience as Dr.Tim surprised us with his amazing vocal growls. Then the audience cheered (and some cried) as he introduced his new soldier song entitled “Don’t Forget About Me.” So many have had their lives touched by members of the military, and it was apparent by the spirit felt in the room that evening. Moving straight into an intense instrumental, “Carol of the Bells,” we were treated to witness the awesome skills that each of the band members possess. And, wrapping up the set, was T Culler’s most famous rock single, “Maybe Next Sunday.” The boys received a well deserved standing ovation.

It's Summer Time!

It's summer time, and here in Charleston, South Carolina, it is HOT! It is a great time of year though, and the band is gearing up for lots of new places that we are being invited to come play. We did a show in Columbia a couple weeks ago, and the people there were dancing in the aisles; praising God to the fullest. I love seeing people who are sold out for our Savior, and we are seeing a great movement of God's people who are doing just that. It is exciting, and we want to do everything to encourage and uplift. God's word tells us to "Go and make disciples" and under His authority given to Him over Heaven and Earth, that is what we want to do. There are so many to reach, and together we can do it.

Hey, congrats to Natalie and Mallory for winning the T Culler video contest. They put together one incredible video of "End of the Day", and I couldn't have been more impressed. Go to T Culler videos to see their amazing work. (Or follow this direct link.) They could be future Hollywood producers if they are this good, this early in life!

In the next few months we will be going back into the studio to work on the third T Culler record project, and the songs that God has been blessings us with are going to be great. Please be in prayer for this ministry, and pray that God will open doors that give the opportunity to reach out in a way that can help make a difference in this world. It is in His name we serve, and in His name we play the music that only comes from Him. Here's hoping that we see you all soon,

T Culler

To get this blog via e-mail, please subscribe to "In Living Culler," the official T Culler Newsletter, by sending an e-mail to livingculler@gmail.com with SUBSCRIBE in the subject line.

Am I Really Trusting Him?

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Proverbs 3:5,6

As Christians, it is so fashionable to talk about trusting the Lord. We read about it in God's Word. We boast about how much we trust Him in all we do. We even sing about it and write songs about it. But, do we really and honestly live that way? It's so easy to say that we trust God when everything seems to be going well for us. We have food on the table. We are getting to do most things we enjoy. Our health is good, and life seems just perfect.

That's not how it always is though, right? Trials come, and there are periods of emptiness and wilderness moments that can leave us wondering if God really has a plan for us. It can leave us wondering if He really cares at all. Those are the times when trusting Him really takes on a much greater personal meaning to us.

Now however comes the big question. Do I REALLY trust God, or am I just fooling myself with words that really are without meaning and without true belief. Am I really sold out to Him in such a way that nothing could change my belief in His guidance and pathway for me. If we are honest with ourselves, there have most likely been times when we find ourselves not trusting Him as much as we'd would like to admit.

So, what is the answer, and how do we go about learning to trust in God? I think it is similar to the way our daily lives seem to be. As we associate with each other, trust is built as we experience situations together and live through them each day. This can be true with learning to trust in Him. It doesn't always necessarily just happen. Sometimes, it is something which has to be developed over a period of time. As we strengthen and cultivate our relationship with Him, and as we spend time reading and meditating on His Word, we get to know Him more. Then before you know it, that relationship which seemed less strong in the beginning, has become the strongest, most trusted, and unbreakable bond you have ever experienced.

I am walking on this journey everyday, and surely don't have all the answers. I do hope you are walking it too, with much anticipation for greater things to come. Together let's learn to be closer and more trusting to the One who loves us the most.

May God pour out His abundant blessings on you all,

T Culler

Happy Easter!

There are three reasons that I feel like God allows me to play music. They are as follows: To completely and passionately glorify Jesus Christ. Secondly, to reach and uplift the Christian brother and sister who sometimes find themselves in desperate need of the love that only He can give. And lastly, to spread the news that there, without a doubt, is a Savior who loves you, and wants to meet you where you are.

That is why Easter is my favorite of all days. As Christians, we celebrate the RISEN Lord, and One who still lives today, interceding for each of us. The crucifixion of God's Son Jesus was something that had to be done because of the sin that we all have. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). This sin within us, that is in need of forgiveness, could only be wiped away through the shedding of His innocent blood. His sacrifice alone made a way, The ONLY Way (John 14:6) for us to have eternal life and to see the Kingdom of Heaven. While we were yet sinners, He died for us. AND on the third day......He Arose, and continues to live today, bridging the gap that was between the Father and us. The gulf that separated us from His being able to look upon us is covered by His Son Jesus, who covers our sin completely.

Easter is such a wonderful day. One could argue that it is THE day of days, and one that should be celebrated more than any other. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event in human history, and without it, there would be no hope. We really short change ourselves when we celebrate so many other things with greater passion and with greater emphasis than we do the day of Easter. As a Christian, there really is no excuse for a lack of incredible joy and celebration on Easter, and we must guard against the complacency and apathy that occurs in many of us when we regard it as just another day.

What keeps you from having unspeakable joy and thankfulness on this day. What keeps you from celebrating with everything you have, and Sunday morning being greatest celebratory gathering ever with your brothers and sisters? Is it just because you're just used to Easter coming and going like it has every year, as you are just "going through the motions"? Let's hope not. But if so, you can be a beacon of change today, because there is no better time to change it all than now.

This year, a weekly group of guys that I meet with to hold Bible study, are meeting to join in fasting, beginning after supper on Thursday night and going through noon on Friday. Friday morning, we will gather at 9:00 am and spend 3 hours in individual and corporate prayer, then break our fast together with lunch. This should give an opportunity to go deeper into Christ and to even make breakthroughs in our spiritual lives. It may break down some spiritual strongholds in our lives that hold us back from knowing God more deeply or serving Him more effectively. Mostly, it will be a time to listen to God. It will be total devoted time to Him alone, remembering the three days that He changed all of history and all of our lives, now and forevermore.

I am not saying that you have to do what we are doing, and you may have other ways that you honor that weekend. The reason I tell you that story is that it may seem a bit radical, and most of the world would have us to believe that it is way overboard. But is it really? We devote more time to so many things that are far less worthy. I believe that our God deserves it, and if He is truly Lord of our life, these kind of actions should be more common to us than not. Giving daily devotion to the One who gave it all for you, and to the One who wants to give His love to you, should be a natural out flowing of our lives. It sure shouldn't be something that seems out of the ordinary and new to us. If it is, then we need to examine our priorities, and find out just what we really are devoted to. That may seem harsh, but it is of utmost importance.

It says in the book of James, that we may not have tomorrow, and with that truth being known, I may have only one last chance to tell you this. You may have only this day that you are reading this, to truly die to self and give all of yourself away, making Him truly the Lord of your life. If it is, it is in that moment of complete surrender that you will find the true meaning of life. It is in living, not of ourselves, but in living a life of abundance that only comes from accepting and living for the Savior Jesus Christ. Today might be that day for you. If it is, I rejoice with you, and join with you in the journey that is before us.

This Easter, let's make a change. This Easter, let's do something different, and out of the ordinary, showing your Father how much you love Him. This Easter, stand up and shout aloud your true feelings of joy and thankfulness for what He has done. Happy Easter! I hope it is the best celebration ever for you all!

May God pour out His abundant blessings on you all,

T Culler

I am Amazed...

I am amazed at the many ways God does things in our lives when we are not expecting it. The key I find, however, is to always be available to the work that He is doing, and then going to it. We can be used for His purposes only if we are willing and allow Him into our lives.

We played a weekend recently with a wonderful group of young men and women. It was their teen spring retreat. I love those kind of weekends so much, and sometimes I think I get more out of them than the campers do. For every moment of that retreat weekend, God was at work, weaving lives together, mending pieces of a puzzle that only He could. From the first night, you could feel the Spirit working, and He never let up. By the end, most everyone had been touched in some way that made their life better, because they were closer to the Savior. Just a little time spent, resulted in more than a few changed lives that weekend.

What makes us ever question God's leading? I am sure that you may have been asked to do something or go somewhere to do an event that you just didn't feel like doing. All this while the Spirit inside of you was speaking to you, telling you that you should go. The choice of turning from those promptings can be a decision that can have lasting changes on our lives, and one that may cause you to miss out on what God has in store for you. It is hard, but we have to guard ourselves against apathy found in a world that makes it easier to be apathetic everyday.

When we feel the tug of the Holy Spirit telling us to go, or that we should be doing something or helping someone, let's run to do it and not hesitate any longer. Put off the old ways of thinking that it is not worth it, or someone else will pick up the slack and do it. I think you will find that the blessings awaiting you will be in abundance, and ones that you never saw coming.

Philippians 1:6

Till next time and in His love,

T Culler

It's Valentine's Day This Month!

It's Valentine’s Day this month! I happen to love Valentine’s Day because it's all about something that is as positive and uplifting as it gets. It comes during the winter month that is mostly cold and dreary. It can be one of the months that can get us down, so it is the perfect pick-me-up! It is all about..........LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (I love that song by the way!)

As we approach Valentine’s Day, my thoughts are drawn (as they always should be) towards my wife. I am an imperfect being, sometimes more so than at other times, but no matter what, she loves me anyway. I feel so blessed and so humbled by this. The love I have for her is unmatched and cannot be duplicated.

Our Savior commanded that we love one another as He has loved us. What a blessed command! To love each other is one thing, but to be commanded to love as He loves, is taking it to a whole new level. I know that as much as I love my wife and children, my Savior loves them more. What an awe-inspiring and mind-boggling concept!

Why isn't every day like Valentine’s Day? You have all the love you ever wanted, exuding from a Savior who gave His all just for you, even when you didn't deserve it. Now that's love! The good news is that it is unending, which is a far cry different than the Valentine’s Day that we celebrate on February 14th. His love goes on, and on and on, with a constant flow into your heart and life. You just have to invite Him in, let Him stay and set up camp inside your soul. It's really easy…. you just have to ask. His love has been there all along, now it's your time to accept it, and make EVERY day a Happy Valentine’s Day.

Till next time,

T Culler

HELP FOR HAITI -

HELP US SPREAD THE WORD -

The recent devastation that has come to the country of Haiti is something that is at the forefront of all of our minds. We need only to reflect on the past decade to see the many things around us that happened that inevitably shaped our very lives in ways that we never expected. 9/11 happened in this past decade. The amazing Miracle on the Hudson happened this past year. The war against terror in Iraq raged on and continues. The financial system nearly collapsed. More and more headlines read of people steering away from God's law, and immorality gained more and more traction. The point is, we see unexpected events that moved and made us in some way different than we were before.

But there was a constant: Jesus Christ, who was, and is, and is to come. The eternal Living Lord never changed, and He never will. His love for you also has never changed. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that One could love me with a love that is so deep and unchanging the way that He does; all while I continue to learn to obey His commands. That is precisely why He came to this earth as a baby. He came to live in real life conditions and circumstances, living as we do everyday. He has been where you are, and has seen and lived as you have.

He knows you, by name, and loves you the same. He just does. We have to just accept that, and furthermore, we must accept Him and His ultimate gift of love. He is the only way to true happiness, true peace, and the only way to eternal life. That has never changed, and never will. Have you accepted that? Have you accepted Him? If not, there is no better time than now, and He patiently waits to receive you, and desperately wants to spend time with you.

Let's start this new year and this new decade on the right track by renewing ourselves and falling into a deeper love and relationship with our Savior. It is that decision that will make a lasting difference in your life, and one that will give you purpose that is truly satisfying. 2010 is another year where we can learn to be more loving, giving, and serving towards our fellow men and women of this great world. We need each other, and we need Him to give us the freedom from the chains of life that bind us and keep us from living in harmony. Will you accept the challenge of daily living, daily serving, and daily giving to your brothers and sisters, and even to your enemies? Those aren't words that came from here, but are straight from Jesus Christ, and He said them for a reason. He wants you to experience true peace, and true joy. The joy that escapes far too many, but is so within their grasp.

Till next time, Blessings to you all. Hopefully we can all see each other again soon at a T Culler event, or wherever God chooses to let us meet again.

T Culler
